Project Description
This was a really fun and unique project for a USA based company, IHS, which is a premier provider of global market, industry and technical expertise. They were going to be exhibiting at a trade-show in Vancouver and wanted to host a VIP reception following the conference to thank their top 200 clients.
This client wanted to work with a local planning company that could provide an authentic West Coast theme. We were tasked with pulling together this special evening, with a West Coast theme that would touch every aspect of the event, from the venue, to the food, to the thank you gifts. With our talented team on site, the IHS Staff were able to be guests at their own event and spend their time liaising with their clients instead of having to worry about logistics.
The Venue:
The Bill Reid Gallery was the perfect location for this event. This local gallery features Northwest Coast Art and has a rotating exhibit of artists. We ensured Curators were on hand to host tours and educate attendees on the pieces on display.
The Food:
An incredible selection of fresh seafood and locally sourced wines and beers was the perfect fit for this evening. To encourage networking, we utilized tall cocktail tables and had passed appetizers.
The Entertainment:
Attendees took part in a guided walking tour that began at their hotel. While they were escorted to the event venue they learned about local history and architecture. Once they arrived they experienced a wonderful traditional welcome. For the duration of the evening a jazz trio played from the loft above the venue space, creating the perfect ambiance.
